Flattr me!

Flattr is a new Swedish web 2.0 invention. Or perhaps it should be called web 3.0. For the first time it enables easy and global sharing of money on the web to enable micro sharing to Internet content producers. Small scale producers like myself has little to win economically from flattr, since very few people read our work. However, it will show appreciation to the small time producers and contribute at least some coffee money! For the major producers however, if this works out, Flattr could be a great way to generate income without locking away content to subscribers. I love the idea behind flattr and truly hope that it takes off despite much worry in the bloggosphere that Facebook will steal their idea. Lets see… I signed up to flattr today and so far it works very smooth for being a beta release.
